Pierre de Coubertin established the concept of sport for all. The question is how can this concept be applied in the modern society, considering the internationalism and the differences between countries as regard their financial condition (Felippe Nitsce, Chile)

Do you think that Beijing Olympics have damaged the IOC image for its close collaboration with a military governmental system?(Xabier Cid, Scotland)

An Olympic journey is about to finish...a new one is about to start

The 49th Young Participants session of the International Olympic Academy approaches to its end. During this session, we got to know interesting people from all over the world who shared a commitment to the values of Olympism. Many interesting issues were analyzed in the lectures and further discussed in the discussion groups. (In the official website of the IOA you can find the whole material of the session: http://www.ioa-sessions.org/ )
The most important thing, though, was the fact that about 170 people from different people -strangers 2 weeks ago- became friends through this Olympic journey and their engagement to the values of the Olympism.
By this blog we could keep in touch and continue the creative discussions that we began duriong the session.
Matters about Olympism, Olympic education and Olympic Games in general will be discussed here.
Everyone is invited to take part in the discussions of this blog by posting his/her comments.
So, let this new Olympic journey begin!!
